Lights - how?

I absolutely LOVE SH3D!

How do I make the lights work?
I have the latest version of SH3D,
but cannot seem to find info on
how to make the colored lights work/appear
in video creation.

Can anyone help guide me to the right
info location? I will continue searching
in the meantime.

Diedra,

In the Furniture catalog select the chapter "Lights", or type "lights" to search for those models. You should get a number of lamps with light built in, and a number of light bulbs.

- Use SH3D version 3.4 or 3.5 and do NOT use the old AdvancedRendering plug-in.
- When using Create photo or Create video, light will only show at the two highest quality settings.
- Most lights in the standard catalog have a power switch that allows to change the strength of the light emitted.
- Small light bulbs give sharp shadows, large lights give soft shadows. Use a light bulb of 50x50x50 cm (20x20x20 inches) or larger for general illumination of a room. I find that (in general) you get the best results when you use several small lamps around the room, then adding one or two big bulbs at a fairly low setting for general illumination.
- When using lamps and/or light bulbs, switch off the ceiling lights in rooms for best results.

I did not know that much about the working of lights
and I sure am appreciative for your taking the time
to teach me.

I fell in love with the images of the different
light colors provided here somewhere on the website
and knew I HAD to use them... but first learn how.
