how can i hang an object on wall in this program every time i try to hang a portrait it falls on the ground

You can change the level of highness of an objest with a menu dropped with right clic on the object.

Exactly this will be something like this: right clic on the object>>> Modify furniture>>> check the field "Elevation". In this field you can set the highness of an object.
