Roof Thread #1000 --> But a little difference

Hi out there,

Yeah: I have made my first roof - and it was a great feeling
But i wonder if it is possible to cut out a part of the roof.

My first plan was to abuse the "Create room" tool:
1. Draw the side view of left side of the roof (with the desired cutout)
2. Copy the room as new furniture using the plugin
3. Draw the side view of the right side of the roof.
4. Copy the room as new furniture using the plugin
5. Import the new furniture and turn the roof sides per 45 degrees and then group them to my new roof.
Problem: the imported roof side can only be turned around y-axis but not around other axis...

Has anybody a good tip how to created Roofs with cut out areas?

Daniel,

Take a look at the Roof tutorial (PDF).
In short: make a wall, insert a window or invisible box, then export & import the wall section as your new roof.
