Is there a way to move text after it has been created and resized?

Yes, drag and drop a text with its indicator shown below the middle of the text.

OH I found out that to select the text I must first select the pointer tool. Missed that in the instructions, but thanks.
Next question. Is there a way to import items like different furniture from Serif Draw Plus? They have a much larger selection, but that program won't do what yours does.

Serif Draw Plus is a 2D drawing program, not 3D. You can use images made with that program as textures or as background images.
