roof has block at end of it

Hello,

I read the tutorial and was able to draw a building complete with a roof.

I created the roof in a separate window and then brought it in as furniture.

My problem is that at the end of the roof is a large gray square block.

I had the same problem on my last project. When I put in a triangle window, a large square chunk was taken out of the wall.

I am sure it has something to do with blocks coming in as a rectangle.

How can I get rid of this block? I wanted to make a picture out of the model but the block goes right on top of the building.

This sounds like you exported/reimported a design with walls which contained a ground part automatically generated.
Please read this post for a solution.
