Lights give no light

Hi all,
I want to thank those good people who developed such wonderful software!

I'm newbie and I must be missing something, but when I place light(from catalog->lights-> source or lamp) absolutely nothing happens. I've tried to change light value in Modify 3d View and still no result.

I've searched forum and Google but found nothing. It seems I'm the only person facing this problem.

Steps I make to add light: adding light or light source from catalog, setting its light power to 50-100%, placing it somewhere in the room(both on ceiling level or lower).

Technical info: I'm running 4.1 version, Video Subsystem: Mobile Intel® GS45 Express Chipset with integrated 3D graphics

The lights have some effect only at the two best quality levels in the photo creation tool. It's explained in the help included with Sweet Home 3D (sorry if thie part about photo creation is missing in the Russian version and a few other ones).
