I want to simulate gypsum board ceiling with different shapes and designs for each room. how i can achieve that?

Not knowing how elaborate designs you're looking for, you probably should look for models online, for instance at http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/. (DAE models can be imported direktly, SKP models need to be converted with Sketchup).

PS It would actually be a good idea to create some basic models for ceilings - I might just look into this at some point.
