Can't open a home that is bigger than 1MB, Ubuntu 13.10

Hi,
I love this program but since i updated my ubuntu to the latest 13.10 version i can't open any old files bigger that 1 MB.

SweetHome3D opens up as usual, i choose an existing home and click on it, it shows me it's loading and opens a new window (as usual) but that window never completly shows up, it stays in gray tones and after a few moments SweetHome3D closes.

If i open a file that is about 130kB, it works as it is supposed to.

Please help me

Does it fail only under Ubuntu 13.10? Or under other versions / systems too?
