Faster video and photo generation

I have been trying to generate a movie of about 60secs using the 480*360@25fps and this took quite litterally 3 days on an iMac 27" last ten with plenty RAM.

Is there anyway to speed this up ?

Or is this a constraint of JAVA.

I ask this because I have downloaded other competitive software and their rendition is much faster for a similar movie/house. However, these are not as easy to use as SH3D.

This is not a constraint of Java.
More likely a constraint of means: programming a better rendering engine would require a lot of time that I don't have.

Is there anyway to speed this up ?
