Window, door dimensions
On the wish list I would love to see the American dimensions and types of windows and doors we use in the US. I was trying to design an add-on and I don't know the standard dimensions but the icons don't seem to represent what we have. I liked the software but this was disappointing. I even purchased the software. I was hoping I could design then get the materials list.

Hi,
1) Well the dimensionscan be changed successfully as long as the proportions are not too far off.
2) As for styles, there are so many kinds of windows and doors that pointing you in the right direction is almost impossible without knowing what you are after. But you can search for models on-line, and may find what you need (e.g. 3D Warehouse - use kmz format for import).
3) As for the icons and how the windows fit the wall, these are properties not included in the normal 3D formats, and therefore added to SH3D models (furniture library editor and advanced editing of properties).
4) Don't know whether my windows can be of use, see some 20 different examples for SH3D in SF 3d models 260, but feel free to use them. Or shout if there is a particular model you need - maybe someone else has already made your window...

Among available windows and doors, I thought that many models like double hung windows could match US needs.
