I am not forcing you to add CAD in SH3D. But if you are planning to make it then here is some helpful links:

I think autocad DWG files can be read either svg or Obj- wireframe(wire/spline) mode.

Adding support for a file format is a long and not really funny task (remember last summer when I reprogrammed 3DS support?). In the case of DWG format, there seems to be an additional legal risk that doesn't push me to program its support.
Maybe once legal issues are completely resolved (see here), I'll start thinking about it.
