activating video recording

Good afternoon,

there are some threads in the forum's archive which deal video recording but apparently not the question, why the option could stay greyed out in the 3d menu.

Two screen shots. The first shows the inactive video option, the second lists the libraries which are installed for Quicktime support on my Debian 8 system.

Okay, I replaced the Debian provided program package by the version from Sourceforge.

And rendering...
