Hi, what is the best way to get a countertop that is a different material/color than the kitchen cabinets?

..and also thanks for a great program?

If you use kitchen models with named surfaces, you can change colour / texture separately for the worktop. Try for instance the kitchen cabinets by Jay-Artist.

You may also want to have a look atthread 5256.
