Field of view vs. focal length.

Yes, I know, and I have, but I still can't understand how to calculate the right focal length-settings to match the perspective given by the field of view-settings in SH3D.
Why would I want this?
Because the other 3D programs I use, are like my SLR-camera. Only focal length - no field of view-settings.
Is there a conversion table to be found anywhere, og maybe a formula I can use?
