Re-installation Issue

Hello!

I had to reinstall my applications, and after doing so when I render a photo at Best quality the shiny surfaces are coming out dull. When I switch to the next lower quality setting they render shiny again.
I have version 5.2a.

Could you share an image so we can better understand what you mean by "dull"?

In the reduced quality render the reflections are crisp, but at full quality they are dull. Before the re-install the reflections were always crisp when a surface was set to shiny.
