Mars III (ISV GAGARIN ) is arrived correctly around martian orbit.

This new crew prepares his descent and verify all the vessel.

Bigger, faster than the previous ISV Hermes.


1900 x 1400 in Q4 for the model and Celestia for the background.

The new crew has 8 members.

4 modules will depart from martian orbit:
2 Matmod v3 (Material module)
1 MRV v3 (Martian Return Vehicle) and
1 Habmod v3 (Habitation module)

D 715 - Nov 12th 2041

In the beginning of the morning, the first Matmod (V3) is separated itself from ISV Gagarin.

In the end of the afternoon, the matmod is arrived on Mars at 1 km at north from base camp.

Because of the firing windows the crews 2 and 3 will work together for nearly 1.5 years.

The second Matmod is arrived.
The first crew sends an martionaut to verify that all is good in waiting the arrival of the second crew.

D 717 - Nov 14th 2041

The Habmod v3 is arrived on martian ground near the northern border of Taytay crater.

D 719 - Nov 16th 2041

The MRV 'condor' left ISV Gagarin to fetch the 3 astronauts on the ISV Hermes-Mercury (see HERE) which will now be in automatic mode.
One day to go get them and another to go down to Mars.
8 + 3 = 11, this is the maximum passenger embarked in a MRV.

The MRV v3 is arrived on martian ground near the 'MRV Mars II site' in west direction of Taytay crater.

The second crew disembarks and is taken over by the rover (in two times) to be brought to the Habmod v2 (at base camp) released by the first crew.

They will undergo medical examinations and a small quarantine so as not to contaminate the first crew.

In the map below, you see the new locations of Mars III.



The habmod v3 is near the future greenhouses.
It will serve like refuge and laboratories.
On the way, the second crew will find the two Matmod V3.

D 720 - Nov 17th 2041

All modules of Mars III and crew are on Mars.

We can see below the new sites of Mars III (Matmod & Habmod) with the traces of the rover1.

With good eyes, far away between the two Matmod, there is the Habmod and the next greenhouses area (follow the traces at left).

D 734 - Dec 01st 2041

After the quarantine, the second crew (8 members of 4 couples*) begins to desembark the new equipments.

(*) : 1 US couple, 1 russian, 1 european and 1 hindu.

In first stage of Matmod v3, you see a lift for the new rover v2 in front view with lights on.

In same time, two marsonauts (or martionauts) go out the cranes to go down the equipments from the higher levels.
