Program goes black

Do you mean that the whole window is black, or only the 3D view (the part at the bottom right)?
There was a major change on the management of the 3D view between version 5.2 and 5.3. Does it work with version 5.2?

I had the same problem with a computer of 2010 (it had to stay in 4.6 !!!). [:D]
This was due to the opengl and directx drivers. [X-(]

Try updating them if you have not already done so.
Verify java update.

What year is your notebook, your OS ?

My notebook is from 2007 win vista home basic 32 bits

Always try to have everything updated the only guy who does not want to update is adobe
