There is also the solution to display an image in the background, explained in the tip How to add a scenery around your home, but this new tutorial is more about showing a setting made of 3D objects and it might give some ideas to create small cities (mind however that importing other houses at OBJ format can greatly enlarge the size of a SH3D file). It will be difficult to compete with the beautiful works of Ceciliabr who gives also some good advices to make buildings in this thread, but it's quite fun and quick to design urban surroundings, especially with the new models recently created for the Forensic police and the street models designed by Okh some time ago.
