Creating a 3D Image From a PNG file

Hi,

Is it possible to import a png file and then make a 3D shape?

I have a 2D logo which would look great if it can be extruded somehow.

I hope this makes sense?

You can import as a back ground then draw on it and extrude . If you can attach png please

No, that is not possible.
You may want to search Google with "convert 2d shape to 3d model", or something similar.
Even if you find a program that can do this, don't expect miracles.

In it you will see several variations + how they were made, so you will be able to modify them to suit your personal taste.

Hi Stef,

I used your image file for determining size and so forth but then I built it from scratch in Blender. Not what you were looking for at all but I need the practise.
