Re: problem with make a Photo Ludideco, Were you having the same problem as me? Were you able to get the memory successfully increased. I am seeing some improvement simply from running the sweethome jar version, but still really slow when trying to render pictures and so forth. |

Re: problem with make a Photo I have not been able to get past the road block that I ran into regarding what to do with the file that tells java to run at the 4gb range. Can anybody else help? |

Re: problem with make a Photo [...] but still really slow when trying to render pictures and so forth. Don't dream, increasing the max memory used by the program, won't accelerate that much the rendering process. See also the FAQ How can I speed up the rendering process in photo and video creation panes? If you want to run the program with 4 GB be sure to install a 64 bit version of Java first, and run the Sweet Home 3D with it. As the 64 bit version of Java is installed by default in C:\Program files\Java\jre6 the command in the bat file will become: "C:\Program files\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Xmx4096m -jar "C:\Program Files (x86)\SweetHome3D\SweetHome3D-4.0.jar"---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
