I don't remember, but I think the picture is just a screenshot, or else a rendering in the lowest quality setting, because there are no shadows in the image.

You are asking quite a lot....
Maybe you should start learning how to use Levels. This permits you to easily add a 2nd and 3rd storey to your house.

Its simple
Go to
3D view->Modify 3D view
Change color or texture for Ground and Sky.

For photo-rendering the sky is generated according to sunlight and time of day, which means the imported sky texture is ignored. If you are comfortable using picture editors (like the GIMP), you can fix the picture afterwards. ok
