Application Crashes Mac and have to hard reboot

Hi, the last four days Sweethome 3D have caused me to have to (hard) reboot my MAC which completely crashes... cursor moves but no access to dock or any menu items....before this I had no problems.... today I searched to see if there was an update, and there was, so I installed thinking it just needed an update... nope still crashing the whole system...

It occurs usually when I am trying to move an object but no particular object.... I don't build walls or anything I simply layout the room and add furniture for rearranging...

The only changes I have made is updating Safari and some sort of security patch from Apple a couple of weeks ago but no other changes to the system... Thank you

I tried the Java Web Start version and same thing as with the download version...

Please try the version of Sweet Home 3D which runs with Apple Java 6 that you'll have to install too.

No joy.... although it took probably 2 to 3 hours to crash instead of 20 minutes... it did so eventually.... and other tricks too try?

I fear that Apple introduced a regression in their recent security update, so either you wait they fix it (but are they aware of the problem?) or you upgrade to Mojave if it’s possible (I would avoid Catalina unless you’re 100% sure all your apps are 64 bit).

Sorry, I mixed your issue with the one of another user. Mojave is the system I use everyday at the moment and I didn't experience any problem on my side. There must have been an other change in the past weeks...
