How can I add different colors to the floor?

Look up the object in the "furniture list" (bottom left window), right-click it and select "Modify" from the menu that pops up.

Instead of a box you can use a cylinder.

I am wondering how to create a bevel the best (on the floor, e.g. 2 tilings with different colors or 2 carpets, one blue the other white and the blue one has a bevel together with the white one).
