Angled Windows

Hello all, any suggestion how to create angled window?

Example:

I made couple angled windows with Sketchup Make 2017 (still free, I think). Those windows available if wanted.
No idea how to create such with SH3D.

Hi Seppo, yes you got exactly the idea. Do you think I can import your model, if possible, into sh3d?

Smaller window and bigger window.
Both are in .DAE -format so you can use Import Furniture to get them into SH3D.

Inside and outside surfaces are different material so you can use different 'paint' for inside and outside parts.

Rendering these windows might show unwanted colors/materials 'cladding_stucco_white' and 'material' bleeding through.
In this case use Modify furniture - Materials and make those materials invisible.
I have not found other solution to remove them.. sorry

Hi,

using the shape generator plugin you can create your own window shape, set his opacity, then, export it as an obj file

Shape Generator 1.2

Then you could add some boxes around it as the window frame.

Export all the selection as an obj file

Import the new obj file as a door on window

and VOILÀ

Excellent solution, crackwood01 [=D>]
- uses only SH3D-tools AND
- avoid all problems I mentioned when creating window with SketchUp

This is the way I will make my windows!
