Imported object preview on plan is broken

Hi,

Everytime I'm importing an object, the preview in the plan is always broken.

However, the model is correctly imported and is working fine in the 3D view.

Here is an example of a vacuum:

I'm using SH3D 7.5 on Ubuntu 24.04.

Do you have any idea on how to solve this ?

Sometimes downloaded models have problems that can be solved by export/import.
Try exporting the model and then import it again.
Export: Menu > 3D view > Export to OBJ format,
Import: Menu > Furniture > Import furniture

Thanks for your answers.

It seems the problem happens only on Ubuntu. I tested with Windows (the installer version from Sourceforge, not the one provided through the App store) and it works fine.

Under Ubuntu, I'm using the tgz install, with the included runtime which is 1.8.0_202 (Java3D is 1.6.2a - JOGL 2.5.0)

Looking in the preferences, I changed the "Furniture icons in plan" to "Top view" and objects are now displayed correctly.

However, it's still not the case in the left panel.

If you start with the script SweetHome3D try the other script: SweetHome3D-Java3D-1_5_2, works perfectly for Linux
