Editing furniture downloads

Sometimes when searching for 3D furniture items on compatible websites, the Collada file will have more than one item. For example, downloading a French door file from the Sketch up 3d Warehouse website may include 3 different door designs all in the same file. How do I separate the items in the file so I can use just one of the 3 door designs?

Unfortunately Sweet Home 3D can't do this, it interprets the file as if it is a single model.

The easiest way is to use an online service. Search for "Split DAE file" and you will find several.
